The New York Mets have been on fire to begin the 2025 MLB season. Despite a recent series loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks, New York has still managed to earn a 21-11 record. Additionally, they have gained a 3.5 game lead in the National League East over second-place Philadelphia Phillies.

Herget has appeared in one game for New York, which was on Tuesday. He pitched two innings, allowing one run on three hits to the Arizona Diamondbacks. He struck out just one batter in his lone appearance.
