TCU men’s basketball made another late addition to its 2026 recruiting class, signing Latvian guard Ricards Aizpurs to the roster. The 6-foot-6 guard played in Italy last season and has been a part of the Stella Azzurra program, a development academy known for producing elite-level talent. In the 2024-25 season, Aizpurs averaged 33.6 points per game in Italian U17 competition, 18 points per game playing up at the U18 level as a 16-year old and established himself as one of the most prolific scorers in his class at the U19 level this past season.

Aizpurs represented Latvia at the FIBA U16 EuroBasket 2024 and averaged 18.1 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game. Aizpurs joins spring signees Luke Bamgboye, Sam Fleming, Ryan Hunt, Trent Lincoln, Gavin Murphy, Miloš Šojić, Gavin Sykes, and DJ Thomas as newcomers for the upcoming 2026-27 season.
