Dave McMenamin: I did not get the sense in my reporting for this story that it’s max or bust for LeBron. Certainly, no. However, I don’t know what the number is. The Lakers, I would think, would be better served here making the initial offer be one that is received well and feels like it comes with a level of respect, and also just a level of interest in wanting him to be part of their team. You know, part of the story is that LeBron hasn’t felt that way all that much since last February.
