Marvin Vettori vs. Ismail Naurdiev joins UFC Fight Night 280 lineup

Marvin Vettori will look to turn things around against a rising middleweight.

Vettori (19-10-1 MMA, 9-8-1 UFC) takes on Ismail Naurdiev (25-8 MMA, 4-3 UFC) at UFC Fight Night 280 on June 27 from Baku Crystal Hall in Azerbaijan, promotion officials announced Tuesday morning.

Vettori, 32, is on a four-fight losing skid after dropping a decision to Brunno Ferreira at UFC 323 this past December. The former title challenger hasn't won a fight since defeating Roman Dolidze at UFC 286 in March 2023.

Naurdiev, who now fights out of Morocco, is 2-1 in his second UFC stint. He rebounded from his loss to Jun-yong Park with a first-round knockout of "TUF 32" winner Ryan Loder at UFC Fight Night 265 this past November.
