Ravens Great Marshal Yanda Again Falls Short of Pro Football Hall of Fame Selection​

Ravens Ring of Honor member and one of the best offensive guards in franchise history, Marshal Yanda, will have to wait at least one more year for a call to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Yanda has been a finalist in each of his first two years on the ballot, but once again fell short of induction.

The eight-time Pro Bowler out of Iowa was widely viewed as one of, if not the best, guards in the NFL during his prime. Over his 13-year career in Baltimore, Yanda started 166 games, earned seven All-Pro selections, and built a reputation as one of the most consistent and physical interior linemen of his era. He was a cornerstone of the Ravens' offense for more than a decade and played a major role in the team's Super Bowl XLVII run.

Looking ahead to next year, Yanda should remain firmly in the mix, especially as voters continue to weigh his resume against a position that often takes time to be properly recognized. With the Hall of Fame's modern-era logjam still as crowded as ever, the margin can be razor-thin. However, Yanda's combination of longevity, dominance, and accolades makes him one of the strongest candidates still waiting. If history is any indication, it's not a matter of if Yanda gets in — it's when.
