Marseille president warns: “We won’t make any discounts.”
Mason Greenwood is Gian Piero Gasperini’s dream.
The coach has been clamoring for him to strengthen his attack, and the next few days could be crucial. Roma have yet to submit their first offer, which will likely be slightly lower than Marseille’s €50 million request.
And loanee Stephan Richard spoke to ‘La Provence’ about Greenwood and the need to fix OM’s financial situation.
“We need to part ways with some players to restore financial stability and drastically reduce the wage bill. We can’t maintain a squad with salaries exceeding €100 million a year.”
“I refuse to sell our best players at a knockdown price. That said, the current situation forces us to overhaul the squad,” Richard continued, explaining that despite the need to raise money, he won’t sell off any player, not even Greenwood.
