Al Amadou's next stop in college basketball after Marquette will be back home.
The 6-foot-9 forward announced on Tuesday that he will transfer to St. Joseph's to play next season. The Philadelphia native is the first player to transfer out of MU in two years.
Amadou is an explosive athlete, but couldn't find a path to playing time with the Golden Eagles. He appeared in 14 games as a freshman in the 2023-24 season, with seven of his eight field goals coming on dunks.
He redshirted this season at MU, so he will have three seasons of eligibility remaining.
Amadou played for three high schools in Philadelphia as well as with the Philly Pride AAU program. Now he will suit up for one of the city's "Big 5" college hoops programs.
