CHICAGO - The Marquette men's basketball team didn't have long to dwell on its loss to St. John's on Jan. 13.
That's because the Golden Eagles (6-12, 1-6 Big East) are back in action on Jan. 16 against DePaul (10-7, 2-4) at Wintrust Arena on Jan. 16.
More: It's been a trying season for Marquette's Chase Ross. He keeps going.
Follow along for live updates from the game:
Guards: Nigel James Jr., Chase Ross, Adrien Stevens
Forwards: Ben Gold, Royce Parham
Odds courtesy of BetMGM as of Jan. 16
This isn't the Blue Demons of recent vintage. Under head coach Chris Holtmann, DePaul is frisky with a defense that ranks 42nd on statistical website KenPom.com. But this is also one of the few games for the rest of the season in which MU has a chance to win. The Golden Eagles are still looking to put together 40 minutes of consistent play, but Chase Ross will make it back-to-back good performances and lead MU to a much-needed road win.
Prediction: MU 71, DePaul 68
Here are the next five games for the Golden Eagles (all times Central):
