Colt Emerson had a case to make the Seattle Mariners' Opening Day roster.

He was sent down to Triple-A Tacoma instead, but since his MLB promotion earlier this month, Emerson hasn't wasted any time proving he belongs.

He has also created some serious questions for the Mariners, who are heading toward an infield logjam when everyone gets healthy.

It's a good problem to have, though. Seattle certainly would've hoped Emerson would hit the ground running like this.

There are plenty of ways to sum up what Emerson is doing. For one, he's super hot lately:

Colt Emerson over his last 4 games:

.429 batting average (6-for-14) with 3 runs scored, 3 doubles, 1 triple, 3 RBI and 2 walks with a 1.286 OPS in 16 plate appearances. pic.twitter.com/RdRkMhr1BI

He's also putting up some phenomenal ratios:

Colt Emerson has a 22.2 K%, an 11.1 BB%, a 20.5% whiff rate, and a 23.3% chase rate in his early MLB career. All are numbers you would absolutely consider good.

Also a fun one: He nearly tied the MLB record for a "major league cycle."

It took Emerson 29 at bats to have a single, a double, a triple and a home run in his MLB career. The record is 28 at bats.

Cliff Heathcote is the fastest to ever do it at 28 at bats in 1918

Even the vibes are good -- "Every day is a highlight, if I'm being honest, with these guys," Emerson recently told the Seattle Times.

Emerson is creating plenty of those highlights himself.

Seattle sure must be glad they've called the kid up. He's certainly phenomenal.
