The Tennessee Vols have had a couple of notable names from 2026 look west to continue their baseball careers this month.
The latest is starting shortstop Manny Marin. Marin posted on his Instagram account on Tuesday that he’s indeed heading to Fayetteville after two years in Knoxville.

Marin appeared in 115 games over two years for Tennessee, starting 97 of them. He hit 9 home runs and 43 RBIs with a .291 average for the Vols this year. He had 12 home runs and 66 RBIs in his two years for the Volunteers.
Marin was a solid player in the middle for the Vols, and you have to wonder what ceiling is left for him over the next year or two of his college career. He certainly improved at the plate from year one to year two for Tennessee, and if another bump is coming in 2027, it could be a good pickup for the Razorbacks.
He joins ex-Tennessee reliever Brayden Krenzel on the Knoxville-to-Fayetteville transfer portal train this month. Krenzel is joining the Razorbacks after a very shaky season for the Vols in 2026. In 20 appearances in 17.1 innings, Krenzel posted a rough 9.35 earned run average. It was a big step back from 2025, when he logged 32.2 innings and posted a 4.68 ERA.
We’ll see what the future holds for them in 2027, and we’ll find out later this year if the Vols and Hogs will square off again next season.
