If you have been watching footage or clips of Bayern Munich’s preseason tour in Asia, you might have been wondering where club CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen is.

With such an important position, it is conceivable that the executive would be back in Bavarian dealing with business matters, but he does usually travel with the team on trips like this.

Unfortunately for Dreesen, a recent fall caused some broken ribs and he has been restricted from traveling for the time being per Bild (via @iMiaSanMia):

CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen will not be joining the team in Hong Kong, contrary to initial plans. The reason is that Dreesen recently broke his ribs in a fall, and doctors advised him against a long-haul flight. The CEO stayed in Munich, attended several meetings over the past few days and continued working full-time.

There is true Bayern Munich DNA here with Dreesen — even the executives find a way to get hurt in preseason.

Seriously, though, hopefully Dreesen has a quick recovery and is back on his feet shortly.
