The Orlando Magic have fired Jamahl Mosley after five seasons, per multiple reports.

After the team's first-round NBA playoff exit to the Detroit Pistons on Sunday, Orlando has decided to go in another direction with its head coaching job. The team has suffered three straight first-round eliminations.

With stars like Paolo Banchero, Franz Wagner and Desmond Bane to build around, the Magic should attract some top-flight NBA coaching candidates to replace Mosley. Who could take on the Orlando job?

We've compiled a few names that make sense to finally help get the Magic over the first-round playoff hump.

Billy Donovan

The former Chicago Bulls coach is a Florida legend after leading the Gators to two NCAA titles. He briefly joined Orlando in June 2007 as its head coach before getting cold feet and returning to Florida. Could a second time be the charm? Donovan has some NBA success from his stints with the Bulls and Oklahoma City Thunder.

Tom Thibodeau

Could Thibodeau be a candidate in Orlando? While he's 68 and could be nearing retirement, the veteran NBA coach knows how to maximize an NBA roster. We're curious if the Magic could give him his final NBA stop.

Dusty May

The NCAA-title winning Michigan coach could return to Florida for a NBA job; there's a rumor Orlando has interest in coaxing May back to the Sunshine State. He'd be a huge get for the Magic.

Mike Budenholzer

The former Milwaukee Bucks coach couldn't quite make it work with the Phoenix Suns, but he's an NBA title winner who arguably got the short end of the stick with Milwaukee. If the Magic want a proven winner, Budenholzer might be a good person to bring on board.

Jarrett Jack

Could the Magic tab someone from Detroit's coaching staff? Jack intrigues us with his assistant stops with the Sun and Pistons. The former NBA journeyman seems like a rising name on the coaching side.
