Sorry...it's been a few years, since I've upgraded.

Can someone please breakdown the differences of the 3 versions?

Regular
Deluxe
MVP

Which to most people buy and what may I be missing out on?

If you do the packs and build a team is the difference. I dont do all that nonsense I play head to head and ranked high using Cards and Pat's. Cards so outmatched playing some teams, I use Gilmore for an INT fest

I believe 1 version lets you play 3 days earlier.

And the other differences are just packs given to you in the ultimate team mode every week.

Which if you don’t play often to keep your team good, is useless.

Don't buy any of them. Get last year's game and a free roster update through the game's roster sharing portal.

EA hasn't changed franchise mode in 10 years and 16 year old games like NFL2k5 still had better franchise mode.

Yes the standard will have franchise mode.

Unless they make some miraculous terrible change I don’t know about.
