A couple of key free agent signings have filled some key holes in the roster. With those in mind here is my latest Cardinal Mock Draft:

Round 1 - Marcus Trufant CB - Wash St.
Best Cover corner available when the Cards pick. Had a great Senior Bowl. Should beat out Barrett for the starting job opposite Starks. If not he will add some much needed depth at the position.

Round 2 - Dewayne White DE - Louisville
He isn't Suggs but is the best prospect available that might be able to put pressure on the QB.

Round 3 - Billy McMullen WR - Va
A strong Tall athletic reciever that could push for the #2 spot right away.

Round 4 - Eric Manning DT - Ore St
A non stop hustler who has good quickness and plays with great leverage.

Round 5 - Wayne Lucier C - Colorado
A deep class at the Center position allows the Cardinals to hold off until the middle part of the draft to address this position. Lucier not only is a good center he can also play guard.

Round 6 - Ryan Hoag WR - Gustavus Adolphus
Has the size and speed to be an effective receiver in the NFL but needs to be polished. The ultimate project for Sullivan to mold.

Round 7 - Brandon Green DE - Rice
Another developemental project. Green would probably be a situational pass rusher at best.

My upcoming mock agrees with you about Trufant.

Will Dewayne White be available in the second? I think not, but if you're right that would be awesome.

I finished my Chemo treatments a month ago and just finished my Radiation treatments last week. All I can say is I'm glad to be done. Still don't know what the status is but hopefully I'll find out more in a couple of weeks.

The good news is the last time I had a Cat Scan 2 months ago it showed that the Cancer hadn't spread anywhere and the one tumor had shrunk considerably.

At least I'm starting to get a little hair back. :D

I like the general idea of this. Trufant could be the best option at #6, since both Bryant and Bell should improved at DT.

But as I stated in another thread I not sure any DE taken in the 2nd will contribute more than KVB and a rotation of Wakefield and Johnson, so I would flip it. Trade down with the Jets and take McDougal at #13 and pick up their 2nd or 3rd in the process. then take a CB in the 2nd.

I like the WR pick. You can get awesome quality by drafting a possesion receiver to learn under Sullivan and Frank (if he returns). One question though, how about Sam Aiken instead? I'm solely basing this on TSN's draft central, but he seems like a better option.

Love the Manning pick in the 4th.

I think Aiken and McMullen are similar. However McMullen has better size which I really like and probably has more potential than Aiken. I wouldn't mind either with our third pick.

Mad Card. Really sorry to hear about your Cancer. But let me tell you it gets better. It has been 18 months since my surgery, chemo, and radiation. The hardest thing that I have ever had to do. But things get better every day. So hang in there. God never gave a burden that you can't carry.
