Lucas Glover is attempting to go wire-to-wire at the 2026 John Deere Classic.
The 2021 winner at TPC Deere Run went 63-65 into the Fourth of July weekend, carding his second consecutive bogey-free round on Friday.
He carries a two-shot lead over Lee Hodges, who gave one back on Thursday at No. 2 and another Friday on the 215-yard 12th hole. Other than that Hodges has steered clear of trouble.
A slew of other contenders linger on the leaderboard including Jackson Suber, who is in the clubhouse with a 64 and is still looking for his first win on Tour.
Tournament favorites Ben Griffin and Chris Gotterup sit T-11, six shots off Glover's lead.
