After some weather caused last night's game to get cancelled, the LSU Tigers took on the Texas A&M Aggies in a double header on Saturday afternoon.
The Aggies captured the first game of the day, but Anthony Eyanson led LSU to a narrow victory in the night cap. Here's how it all went down:

The Aggies struck first in game one, scoring a run in the second. After that, it was a whole lot of pitching and defense until the sixth inning when Jared Jones hit a solo homer to tie the game at one.
Once the starters came out, we finally started getting some action. In the seventh, Texas A&M plated a pair of runs on Zac Cowan before the Tigers came right back and loaded the bases in the eighth. Ethan Frey came into the game as a pinch hitter with two outs and the chance to tie or take the lead in this game, but he flew out to right field to end the inning with the Aggies leading, 3-1.
Maverick Rizy held the Aggies scoreless in the ninth, giving the offense a chance to catch backup. The Tigers managed to put two one with one out, but Derek Curiel and Jared Jones, their two best hitters, couldn't come through and the Aggies took game one.
Game two was much like the first. There wasn't a whole lot of action, especially early in the game. The first runs of the night came in the top of the sixth inning when the Tigers plated a couple on an RBI double from Ethan Frey and a sac bunt from John Pearson. They almost made it five, but Chris Stanfield's near-homer was foul by a couple feet. The Aggies quickly responded with a solo homer in the bottom of the sixth, but the Tigers still led 2-1 after Eyanson retired the next three batters.
Anthony Eyanson's complete game effort carried LSU to the win. After that solo homer, the Aggies didn't score again the rest of the night and LSU went on to win, 2-1.
LSU and Texas A&M split the first two games of the series with a rubber match on the docket tomorrow afternoon.
