The college football season may be over, but there’s still plenty of news to follow over the next few months, with the NFL Combine being the next big event. LSU football will have a significant presence in Indianapolis, with 11 former Tigersattending — the third-most among FBS schools. Here’s the list:
This is a make-or-break event for several of the Tigers’ former stars. Though the performance players put on the field during the season is the most important factor in NFL teams' evaluations, players who test exceptionally well can significantly improve their draft stock.
That applies especially to several former Tigers. LSU had a frustrating 2025 season, and many of the Tigers who will be in attendance have a lot to prove to scouts.
Meetings will also be a vital factor. At this point in the offseason, most NFL teams will have completed the vast majority of their Draft scouting. Now, it’s time for players to meet with teams and make a strong impression. Several of the biggest slides and leaps in last year’s Draft were due to the impressions players left on teams during Combine week, a trend that’s sure to continue in the 2026 NFL Draft.
Ultimately, the Combine is a period during which these former Tigers can either improve their draft stock or tank it. Hopefully, it’s the former.
