LOVB Miami now has roster for first season, home venue yet to be named

Professional volleyball is coming to Miami after League One Volleyball announced an expansion team is headed to South Florida earlier this summer. And now we have a roster to go with it.

Roster announcements for LOVB Miami were revealed July 16. Miami will get a powerful team with players like former Texas star Khat Bell and McKenzie Adams, 2025 LOVB Outside Hitter of the Year.

Here's what you need to know about the team, coach, and upcoming season:

Meet The Team​

Miami LOVB just finalized their roster for the 2027 season and it is full of elite volleyball talent:

#1. Khat Bell, opposite hitter: two-time LOVB champion

#7. Argentina Ung, setter: 2024 All-Big 12 First Team

#8. Michelle Ohwobete, outside hitter: 2024 All-Big Ten

#9. Britte Stuut, middle blocker: 2024-25 German Bundesliga Gold

#10. Annayka Legros, opposite hitter: Best Spiker in 2023 French Cup

#11. Tara Taubner, opposite hitter: 2022 U21 Silver European champion

#12. Miiku Iwasawa, libero: 2025 world champion

#13. McKenzie Adams, outside hitter: 2025 LOVB Outside Hitter of the Year

#15. Helena Wenk, outside hitter: 2025 bronze medal in world championships

#17. Candelaria Herrera, middle blocker: 2023-24 Best Middle Blocker, French League

#19. Jess Robinson, middle blocker: Holds Michigan's career hitting percentage record (0.341)

#21. Uxue Guereca, outside hitter: 2025-26 Best Outside Hitter, Polish Tauron Liga

Meet LOVB Miami's head coach: Paulo Coco​

Paulo Coco is the new head coach at LOVB Miami, but he is not new to the sport. He comes to Miami from Atlanta, where he led the LOVB Atlanta each of the last two seasons. He recorded the league's best record in 2025 and the second-best record in 2026. Coco left Atlanta with a 24-12 record, making him the winningest coach in the league.

Coco is also an assistant coach for Brazil's national team, currently second in the FIVB world rankings. He has also led some of Brazil's biggest volleyball clubs.

Where is LOVB Miami going to play?​

LOVB Miami has yet to announce a venue for their home games. There are plenty of options in the Miami area, however, from the Miami Hurricanes' facilities to local volleyball clubs gyms.

Can I buy tickets to watch LOVB Miami?​

Though there isn't a venue announced, you can purchase tickets for the upcoming season. According to the LOVB Miami Ticketmaster, if you place a $50 seat deposit, you will receive priority seating for a full-season membership throughout the 2027 season.

What is LOVB?​

League One Volleyball is a professional volleyball league in the United States that has had massive growth since their debut in 2025. LOVB has jumped to 10 professional teams across the nation. Unlike most pro sports leagues, LOVB acquires players and then assigns them to teams, which has helped with the competitiveness in the infancy of the league.
