Louisville football RB Isaac Brown not practicing as fall camp begins

Louisville football began fall camp on August 6 with practice open to the media and fans. But Isaac Brown, the Cardinals' All-American running back, did not participate in the practice.

Brown was seen off to the side without a helmet on and was working with a staff member.

"Well, apparently, we've just got to get him a little healthier," head coach Jeff Brohm said following practice. "When we do he'll be out there practicing. That's about all I've got for that one."

Last season, the running back rushed for 884 yards and seven touchdowns in nine games.

Brown was named a member of the preseason All-ACC Team and to the watch list for the Maxwell Award, which goes to the most outstanding player in college football.

Louisville opens the season Sept. 6 against Ole Miss in Nashville at Nissan Stadium.
