Thanks to the Courier Journal’s Brooks Holton, we now know two more games that the Louisville men’s basketball team will play this winter.
On Wednesday, Dec. 16, Louisville will host a Long Island Sharks squad coming off a trip to the NCAA Tournament. I am now contractually obligated to post the following video …
Three days later on Dec. 19, the Cards will welcome the Eastern Michigan Eagles to the KFC Yum Center. EMU went 10-21 in 2025-26, and fired head coach Stan Heath after the season. The program brought in former Clemson associate head coach Billy Donlon to take over.
With these two dates now confirmed, here’s an updated look at the non-con slate:
Oct. 21 — At Kansas (Exhibition)
Nov. 2 — vs. Chattanooga
Nov. 7 — vs. Morehead State
Nov. 24 — vs. Texas Tech (Players Era Festival first round in Las Vegas)
Nov. 26 — vs. St. John’s/Oregon (Players Era Festival second round in Las Vegas)
Nov. 27 — vs. Tennessee/Iowa State/Maryland/San Diego State (Players Era Festival third round in Las Vegas)
(Potentially) Nov. 28 — Players Era Festival Championship game
Dec. 1 — vs. Texas (ACC-SEC Challenge)
Dec. 5 — vs. Michigan (in Detroit)
Dec. 12 — At Kentucky
Dec. 16 — vs. Long Island
Dec. 19 — vs. Eastern Michigan
TBA — vs. Baylor (rumored to be Jan. 23 in Nashville)
TBA — at Memphis State
By my count, there is one more available space on the non-conference schedule for Pat Kelsey and company to fill. That game being played in early-to-mid November feels like a safe bet.
