Pete Prisco of CBS Sports recently revisited the 2023 NFL Draft and adjusted the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ class from its original B- grade down to a C+ three years later.

The reasoning centered on a class that produced multiple starters for Tampa Bay but lacked true star-level impact, as injuries slowed the development of several key players.

According to Prisco, six of the Buccaneers’ first eight selections from that draft remain with the organization, while the first three picks from the class have all developed into starters.

Calijah Kancey was highlighted as a productive player when healthy, though injuries have repeatedly interrupted momentum-building stretches early in his career. Cody Mauch was also mentioned as a player developing into a quality starter before missing last season.

The article also highlighted Yaya Diaby and SirVocea Dennis as players who have continued to carve out meaningful defensive roles since arriving in Tampa Bay.

Ultimately, the re-grade reflected a class that helped produce starting-level players across multiple positions, even if injuries prevented the group from becoming one of the league’s more impactful draft hauls from 2023.
