It’s safe to say that Texas defensive end Colin Simmons is prepared for the Longhorns’ rematch against Ohio State in 2026. That’s especially the case after Texas football fell to Ohio State to open the 2025 college football season. “Second game of the season, all that nervousness, all that jittery is out the door. We’re coming. There’s business to be taken care of,” Simmons told On3.

“I’m just glad that they chose a quarterback that I’m ready to sack,” Simmons added.

Yahoo! Sports claimed Simmons used Texas’ 2025 week 1 matchup as an excuse for Texas loss.

But we all know that’s just for the clicks.
