I am trying to program the logitech harmoney 880. I can't get pic or sound on the tv. I am running a Nad av receiver, cox hd cable and a samsung dlp. I can get the remote to turn on all my devices and at one time, had sound but now no sound. According to the sequence for the tv the remote turns on the cable box and sets it to "Tuner",it turns on the receiver and tunes it to cox cable,it turns on the tv and sets it to av 1. but there is no sound or pic. I can get a pic by setting the tv input to tv and I get the bassic cable using the tv remote.

Probably need someone to come and reprogram the remote. Can any recommend someone in the Glendale, Peoria area??

You could call Harmony support. They are very helpful, and can even program the remote over the phone/online for you.

Have you tried using the help commands on the remote?

Yeah, I would call them. I have the 880, but luckily didn't have any issues programming it.

The help commands didn"t do anything. The remote is used and I would have to pay for their help but will look into what it costs.

Their support is free.

I have called them in the past. I would look into setting delays into the activity that waits before changing inputs; I believe that is your issue.

Stupid question here but is your cable box plugged into the AV 1 input?
Can you listen to the radio, from your receiver, using the remote?

Don't know the answers to that. I had a 880 but my grandson broke it so we used the individual remotes. I think I need a home theater person to go over my connections and get this remote working. I can listen to the radio and the cd player. I now have sound but no picture.

IT sounds to me like you have the wrong input for your TV selected, I'm assuming your TV turns on, in the remote.

The TV turns on, I get sound but no picture. I have gone thru all the inputs and get nothing. The same for using the DVD.

problem found. One of the component plugs had loosened.

Pluged it back in and we have picture and the logitech works. Question is how do I fix the jack so that it doesn't work loose again? It is the top plug of a three plug unit.

You'll have to take it apart and fix it. You could also take it to an authorized repair shop.
