Girls' track and field
MIAA Meet of Champions: Westborough's Al Reginer won the pentathlon, taking the top spot in the shot put (36-5..75) and finishing second in the 800 (2:33.38), long jump (17-9.50) and 100 hurdles (14.85) and fourth in the high jump (5-1) to highlight strong performances from local athletes at the first day of competition at Merrimack College. The two-day event will conclude on Saturday.

Parker's Kinsley Kline won the title in the pole vault with a leap of 12 feet. Westborough's Imani Curran was eighth (9-6), while Algonquin's Josephine Williamson (9-6) was 11th and Westborough teammates Callie Meggison (13th, 9-6) and Madeline Parvin (9-6) also performed well.
Wachusett junior Naomi Witt was third in the 800 (2:12.75). Groton-Dunstable senior Meghan McEleney was 12th (2:15.78) and Sutton junior Vivien Bregman placed 15th (2:16.07).

Whitinsville Christian junior Emily Flagg was fourth in the 2 mile (10:46.91), which saw Lunenburg junior Olivia Coronella take 10th (11:16.72), Bromfield senior Rose Marie Bradley place 11th (11:18.96) and Westborough sophomore Clare Hall finish 12th (11:20.91).
Wachusett freshman Terry Kwarteng was fifth in the 200 (24.94), while Fitchburg sophomore Jayzelle Florival took seventh (25:12).
Ayer-Shirley senior Lorelai Levy was fifth in the 400 hurdles (1:05.03), edging Tyngsborough freshman Savannah Jansson (sixth, 1:05.04) and Algonquin junior Tanvi Mehta (12th, 1:05.05).
Nipmuc sophomore Kameron Getman took ninth in the discus (113-8), ahead of Auburn's Isabel Zukowslki (12th, 110-2) and Littleton's Bella Chen (14th, 105-6) for the top local finish.
Algonquin freshman Charlotte Lipka was the top local finisher in the triple jump, finishing 13th (36-2.75).
Notre Dame Academy junior Madelyn Wilson won the 2 mile in the wheelchair division (11.28.97) and Douglas senior Madelyn Greenough won the discus (30-8) in the para ambulatory division.
Boys' track and field
MIAA Meet of Champions: Hopedale senior Ari Levine finished third in the discus (171-5), one spot ahead of Nipmuc senior Eben Consigli (169-10). Ayer-Shirley senior Mathias Paillard took seventh (166-1), Clinton senior Jamison Brier was 12th (156-4) and Nipmuc senior Dash Correia was 15th (153-10) as several local athletes shined on the first day of competition at Merrimack College. The two-day event will conclude on Saturday.
Clinton junior Sean Blaze placed third in the 200 (21.84).
Algonquin junior Stephen Green was 10th in the 2 mile (9:35.44) and Lunenburg junior Matthew Pilon finished 13th (9:38.75).

Worcester Tech sophomore Sonset Mas-Out was 11th in the triple jump (44-10).
Groton-Dunstable junior Andrew Kosiba was 12th in the 800 (1:56.90), finishing ahead of Shrewsbury junior Havish Thotakura (13th, 1:57.07) and Oakmont senior Jayden Brostrom (15th, 1:57.28).
Quabbin's Silas Stukuls Barrieau was ninth in the pentathlon, finishing fourth in the 1,500 (4:58.23), eighth in the 110 hurdles (17.08), shot put (32-5) and high jump (5-5) and ninth in the long jump (18-10).
