MONTEZUMA, Ind. — The Fountain Central baseball team could only get one hit on Monday as they lost to Riverton Parke 5-0 in an IHSAA Class 1A sectional title game.
Ayden Batchelor had five strikeouts in six innings and Nolan Acton had the lone hit for Fountain Central, who end the season with a 8-15 record.
The Mustangs got to the final with an 10-9 win over Attica on Saturday when Paul Adams got an two-RBI single in the seventh to get the win.
Joan Cervantes also had two RBIs, while Ayden Batchelor had two hits and an RBI, Asher Davis, Nolan Acton and Ryan Mitchell each had one RBI.

BISMARCK — The Blue Devils had three hits, but it was not enough as they lost to the Spartans on Saturday in an IHSA Class 2A regional title game.
Drew Dubois had two hits for Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin, who end the season with an 19-10 mark.

Rule, Morgan get honorable mention
DANVILLE — Danville's Gabi Rule and Aliya Morgan were named to the Big 12 Honorable Mention team on Monday.
Rule led the Vikings with five goals while Morgan had two goals.
