RIVER FALLS — The UW-Eau Claire women’s basketball team fell to the University of Wisconsin-River Falls 68-61 at Don Page Arena.

The Blugolds led by two points after the first quarter but were outscored by seven in the second half.

Senior Kyla Overskei led the Blugolds with 22 points, converting 7 of 12 shots and 3 of 7 from long range, while adding eight rebounds.

Senior teammate Reanna Hutchinson contributed 13 points, hitting 6 of 15 shots and adding a 3-pointer.

Kailey Tulachka scored 10 points, making 4 of 7 shots and collecting four rebounds.

UW-Eau Claire stands at 12-8 overall and 2-7 in WIAC competition. UW-River Falls holds a 12-8 overall record and is 5-4 in WIAC play.

The Blugolds are scheduled to play at UW-Stevens Point on Saturday.

Stout comes up short at homeMENOMONIE — UW-Stout traded punches with Wis.-Stevens Point for all 40 minutes Wednesday night at Johnson Fieldhouse, but a tough fourth quarter ultimately swung the game in favor of the Pointers as the Blue Devils fell 74-66.

The game featured 12 lead changes and eight ties.

Stout’s Julia Rybacki finished with a career-high 18 points while adding five rebounds.

Stout drops game at Stevens PointSTEVENS POINT — UW–Stout couldn’t fully capitalize on a strong rebounding start and fell 63–51 to UW–Stevens Point on Wednesday night at Quandt Fieldhouse.

AJ Uttech led the Blue Devils with 14 points, while Aidan Shore added nine points and eight rebounds.

Collin Vick contributed eight points, 10 rebounds, and five assists.
