Liverpool teenager Keyrol Figueroa has confirmed he is changing his international allegiance from the United States to Honduras. The forward made the announcement in a video posted on the official X account of the Football Federation of Honduras.

Figueroa appears in the video alongside his father, Maynor Figueroa, who has the most caps in Honduras national team history with 181. Despite his father's status as a Catrachos legend, the younger Figueroa has never played for Honduras at any level. The forward has represented the U.S. at multiple youth international levels, but was left off the American roster for last year's U-20 World Cup.

Figueroa was born in Honduras but moved to England at a young age when his father transferred to Wigan — then in the Premier League. He would eventually return to England when he signed with Liverpool, where he currently plays for the club's reserve side. The forward has had a strong campaign in 2025-26, scoring 11 goals in 14 Premier League 2 matches.

Figueroa has yet to make his senior debut for Liverpool, but was named on the bench for a Carabao Cup match in October.
