The Lions announced the re-signing of offensive lineman Kayode Awosika. Terms of the deal were not immediately disclosed.

The 26-year-old has been a key depth piece for the Lions since coming to Detroit in September of 2022 after signing him from the practice squad of the Philadelphia Eagles.

Awosika appeared in 11 games and made two starts during the 2024 season. He also started the NFC Championship two seasons ago.

Awosika will compete with 2024 sixth-round pick Christian Mahogany, who cracked the starting lineup toward the end of the season. Awosika at least gives the Lions a solid backup option with starting experience.
