Sam LaPorta is back.
The Detroit Lions' tight end is expected to be a full-go at training camp next week after getting fully cleared from a back injury, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.
LaPorta played in just nine games last season after suffering a herniated disk in his back and has been trending towards a July return after being a partial participant at mandatory minicamp in June.
"We like where he’s going," Campbell said before practice on June 16. "He’s trending the right way.”

The Lions have five tight ends on their roster behind LaPorta, who's entering an important season as he will be an unrestricted free agent after the year.
LaPorta had 40 catches, 489 yards and three touchdowns last year for the Lions before getting hurt in November and has 2,104 yards in his three-year career.
The Lions kick off training camp Thursday, July 29, at the Allen Park practice facility and will hold nine public practices in August.
