The No. 1 ranked Winnipeg Jets will host the No. 8 seed St. Louis Blues from Canada Life Centre in Game 1 of the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs on Saturday evening.

With a 5:00 PM central puck drop, white-clad fans will most certainly be gathering in Winnipeg's downtown area long before the anticipated start to the opening game of the postseason.

With home ice advantage through the entire postseason as the Presidents' Trophy winner, Winnipeg will own a slight advantage on its route to the Stanley Cup.

Despite missing some key proponents, the Jets are considered the favourite in the opening round vs. St. Louis. Winnipeg will be without forwards Gabe Vilardi, Nikolaj Ehlers and Rasmus Kupari for Game 1 and likely longer, who are each dealing with injuries.

Connor Hellebuyck will get the start and likely will not relinquish his crease through the playoffs.

Winnipeg Jets expected line combinations for Game 1 vs. St. Louis on Saturday, April 19:

Connor-Scheifele-Iafallo

Niederreiter-Namestnikov-Perfetti

Tanev-Lowry-Appleton

Gustafsson-Barron-Anderson-Dolan

Morrissey-DeMelo

Pionk-Samberg

Schenn-Stanley

Hellebuyck

Injured: Vilardi, Ehlers, Kupari

Healthy Scratches: Miller, Heinola
