Lindsey Vonn got decked out in sequins and diamonds for the biggest night in sports!
The Olympic skier, 41, walked the ESPYS red carpet in style, just months after her devastating crash at the 2026 Olympics.
Vonn, who is one of the most decorated female skiers in Alpine Ski World Cup history, made her mark on the red carpet in a black column gown covered in sparkling sequins. The Gucci dress featured a high neckline and one sleeve with an open shoulder and back on the other side.
She wore her blonde hair parted to the side and cascading over one shoulder and added diamond drop earrings by Fred Leighton and a diamond ring by Kwiat.
On the red carpet, Vonn told PEOPLE she was “feeling a lot better” after suffering a crash during the 2026 Winter Games.

“Even since the Met, I feel amazing,” she shared. “I’m working out in the gym finally, which has been a huge step forward for me, but it’s been a very slow process, you know, it’s been 5 months since I’ve been able to actually go to the gym in a somewhat meaningful way, and walking is still actually really hard for me.
Vonn continued, “My ankle is still broken, but you know, one thing at a time. My leg is healing, and that’s important.”
Vonn will be one of the night’s presenters alongside athletes and celebrities like Kevin Hart, Jake Paul, Mike Tyson, Billie Jean King and Tiffany Haddish. Saturday Night Live comedian Marcello Hernández is on hand to host this year’s awards show.
The skier has won nine ESPY awards since 2008 — including Best Comeback Athlete twice and Best Female Athlete five times.
Vonn is also known for her winning style on the ESPYS red carpet, having made a number of striking appearances over the years.
Last year, she turned heads in a shocking strapless eggplant-colored Elisabetta Franchi gown from the fall/winter 2025 collection. The design featured a daring hip-bone-grazing slit that flashed her black g-string thong. She accessorized the look with statement drop earrings, a black clutch and black platform heels. She finished the look with a side-parted wet wave look and smoky eye makeup.
The daring fashion choice almost resulted in a wardrobe malfunction. A gust of wind almost showed more of her thong than she planned. Her sister, Karin Kildow, rushed in to save her and stepped in front of her dress so that it wouldn’t expose her. After almost flashing the carpet, Vonn did a quick change inside the event, switching into a sexy silver fringe beaded gown with a sheer skirt.
Following her return to competitive skiing in November 2024 — after retiring at the end of the 2018-2019 season — Vonn became the oldest woman to place at the Ski World Cup finals by securing second place in the Idaho Super-G race in March 2025.
She eventually returned to the Olympic stage at the 2026 Winter Games in Milan, Italy, though the comeback was short-lived: She suffered a devastating crash just 13 seconds into the women’s downhill event.
Despite her crash, the skier has earned herself and Team USA three Olympic medals — one gold and two bronze.
