Former Liberty guard Avery Mills has committed to Lady Vols basketball, she announced April 8.
The 5-foot-9 sophomore was Liberty's leading scorer, averaging 15.3 points, four rebounds and 2.2 assists in 30.7 minutes per game. Mills shot 42.9% from the field and 42.7% on 7.4 attempts from 3-point range per game, which was nearly five more attempts per game than her freshman season when she shot 46.2%.
Mills is the X addition out of the transfer portal for Tennessee, which has to rebuild its entire roster after all eight possible returners entered the portal. She immediately fills a need for strong shooters, which was one of the Lady Vols' weaknesses last season.
