Lennart Karl back on the ball
The next step on the comeback trail for Lennart Karl: together with birthday boy Serge Gnabry, who also continued to work on his fitness following the adductor tear he suffered in April, the 18-year-old attacker was able to complete a first session with the ball on Tuesday.
While Gnabry, who was celebrating his 31st birthday, has been back in individual training since late June as he looks to get fit for the start of pre-season training, Karl only resumed running last week. The youngster sustained a muscle tear in his left thigh during preparations for the World Cup in North America and missed the tournament as a result.
