LeBron James has won almost all awards and honors the NBA has to offer. He agreed to join the Philadelphia 76ers to continue his legendary career and play in his 24th season. The 41-year-old is a four-time champion, four-time Finals MVP, four-time MVP and 22-time All-Star, among many other accolades. However, he is reportedly not satisfied and aiming to set a new league record.
Shams Charania reported that James wants to be the first player in NBA history to win a championship with four different teams. The ESPN senior insider added that he believes that would further strengthen his legacy.

“The legacy being the only player in NBA history to win a championship with four different teams,” Charania said on “The Stephen A. Smith Show.” “And this is kind of he’s playing on borrowed time, right?”
On June 30, James reportedly informed the Los Angeles Lakers that he will leave them and play elsewhere. He spent the last eight seasons with them, winning a championship in 2020. The superstar forward secured his first two rings with the Miami Heat and won his third with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2016.

The No. 1 pick in the 2003 draft is part of an exclusive club of players with a title with three teams. Joining him are Danny Green, Robert Horry and John Salley.
Green won his rings with the Toronto Raptors, Los Angeles Lakers and San Antonio Spurs. Horry earned his with the Houston Rockets, Lakers and Spurs. Salley, on the other hand, is a champion with the Pistons, Chicago Bulls and Lakers.
James has a chance to rewrite the history books if he brings a championship to Philadelphia. He will have Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey and Jaylen Brown, among others, to help him achieve the goal. The East is stacked with contenders; however, his leadership could be the missing piece to the 76ers winning their first title in 43 years.
