LeBron James fans hit out at 76er star’s ex-teammate for calling Michael Jordan the GOAT

There is no NBA player with as passionate a following as the one LeBron James commands. They’re currently calling out his former Miami Heat teammate over his Michael Jordan take.

LeBron James has made a case for himself to be considered the NBA GOAT. The King clearly feels like he has more to achieve in terms of championships, his recent move to the Philadelphia 76ers is evidence of that.

However, his fans will go to bat for him, no matter what. There are debates about this almost daily between NBA fans on social media, with many older fans insisting that he has not overtaken Michael Jordan.

While there are valid cases for both legends, their teammates and former teammates generally tend to support who they played with. But this isn’t the case for Mario Chalmers, who is catching some heat online.

Mario Chalmers says he’d want Michael Jordan to take the last shot in a game, not LeBron James​

Chalmers was on the Miami Heat for the entire time that James was there. The two won back-to-back championships while playing together as a part of the ‘Heatles’.

But it seems that the 40-year-old isn’t a believer in the GOAT shouts for LeBron. He said, “Michael Jordan… I want my GOAT to take that last second shot no matter what the situation is.”


Naturally, fans were upset with his comments. One fan replied to the video, saying, “LeBron hated him so he chose Michael Jordan as his GOAT.”

Another commented, saying, “Bron’s career shooting percentage is better. And he’s hit more game winners. So how?” A third wrote, “Bron got this man two chips and he’s talking all this nonsense.”

“This man is constantly throwing shade at Bron,” a different fan observed. A fifth fan added, “I always knew that this man hated LeBron smh.”

Chalmers, as James’ former teammate, can be expected to take his side. He did provide his reasoning for it, but obviously, a lot of basketball fans will dislike him for it anyway.
