As for the player, Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla explains he was holding out for Juventus, hoping to be reunited with former Italy head coach Luciano Spalletti. Nevertheless, he still contributed with 15 goals, including decisive strikes that are fondly remembered by the Nerazzurri supporters, as well as 12 assists.
