Lausanne football's four-star junior athlete Lawrence Britt has committed to Missouri football, he confirmed to The Commercial Appeal on June 11.
Britt, who ranks as the No. 12 player in Tennessee's Class of 2027 according to the 247Sports Composite, has been fond of Missouri for some time, citing relatives in the state giving the SEC program a hometown feel. He chooses the Tigers over Arkansas, Iowa and Florida.
"Mizzou felt like the best place for me," Britt told The CA. "The coaches, the players (and) the system fit me. They really impressed me the first time I went up there, and they really poured into me."
The 6-foot-2, 180-pound athlete has been a dynamic, two-way contributor for the Lynx since breaking out during his sophomore season, but projects as a wide receiver in college. In 2025, he was a CA All-Metro third team selection. He made 41 catches for 652 yards and 11 touchdowns while rushing for 299 yards and five touchdowns on 51 carries.
Britt is the fifth player from Memphis' talented 2027 high school class to announce a college decision, joining MASE's Jamarkus Pittman (Ole Miss), Collierville's Brayden Santibanez (Iowa), Germantown's Shelvy Clark (Maryland) and Southwind's Antonio Keefer (Ole Miss). Lausanne travels to Southwind to begin its 2026 season on Aug. 21.
