Last job:

He was fired this week as the head coach of the Cleveland Browns.

Age:

He is 43.

Coaching experience:

He was the Browns’ coach for the past six seasons. He was the NFL Coach of the Year in both 2020 and 2023, which is a feat in Cleveland. But there also rough times and he finished 46-58 with the Browns. Stefanski has been in the NFL for 20 seasons.

Other interest:

Stefanski has already interviewed with the New York Giants and has another setup with the Tennessee Titans. There will likely be other interested. He is expected to be a prim target of the Giants, especially if they don’t land John Harbaugh.

Why the Raiders are interested:

Stefanski is regarded as a top offensive mind and is going to be a hot candidate. The Raiders could do a lot worse than hiring Stefanski. It would be unwise to hold his overall time in Cleveland against him.
