The Aces fought hard, but in the end, fell to the Liberty 87-76.
A’ja Wilson had 16 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 assists. Chelsea Gray finished the night with 11 points, 5 rebounds, and 8 assists, and Jackie Young had 19 points.

During the postgame press conference, Wilson said it was “just one of those nights.” She added that there “ain’t gonna be too many of these,” but her parents will likely give her a “hard time about it.”
The two teams will face off once again next week in the Commissioner’s Cup Championship game.

There’s typically always someone notable sitting courtside at an Aces game, and Tuesday night was no different. NBA star Giannis Antetokounmpo, his wife Mariah, and their four young children were all sitting courtside next to the Aces bench.
This was a particularly exciting time to see Antetokounmpo since he was traded from his longtime team the Milwaukee Bucks to the Miami Heat last night. There were jokes all around that he’s already supporting his new teammate, Bam Adebayo, by cheering on his girlfriend, A’ja Wilson.

Aces fans will notice a familiar face in the cereal aisle for a limited time. Wilson is the newest champion to grace the cover of the Wheaties box.
As part of this milestone in her iconic journey, Wheaties will make a $5,000 donation to support Wilson’s community efforts through her A’ja Wilson Foundation.
“Being on the cover of a Wheaties box is one of those things you grow up dreaming about,” Wilson said, according to a press release sent to The Blast. “For me, this is about showing every little girl what’s possible when you dream big. I’m proud of the work, proud of the journey, and proud to partner with a brand that celebrates champions who keep pushing the game forward.”
Wheaties has been featuring prominent athletes on its cover for more than 100 years, recognizing the best in their sports and the ones who have broken barriers and made contributions to their communities.
“A’ja is the definition of a Wheaties Champion – a generational talent whose leadership, resilience and commitment to empowering others has set a new standard,” said Emilie Knox, Vice President and Business Unit Director for Wheaties at General Mills. “She doesn’t just dominate the game; she creates space for more girls and women to see themselves in it. We’re proud to celebrate A’ja on the iconic orange box as she racks up wins on and off the court.”
The limited edition A’ja Wilson Wheaties box will be available at major retailers this summer. To learn more about Wheaties, visit their website.
