Has the guy just had a monumental fall off defensively sine joining the dbacks or something? I guess it could just be a bad year but this guy is easily one of the worst defensive 1B I've ever seen play for the dbacks. That includes the likes of Reynolds, Conor Jackson, Chad Tracy, Erubiel Durazo, Travis Lee, ect. Really I can't think of a guy that has been worse. Maybe Alex Cabrera. How in the world did we ever get duped into thinking this guy plays a GG claiber 1B??
Seriously this guy's defense might just be the most overhyped and under-delivering traits of any player we have ever signed. He's awful. No range. Constanly misplays balls. Obviously can't throw worth a damn. I'm shocked Gracie (one of the best I've ever seen) has yet to really tell it like it is when it comes to the way LaRoche has fielded the ball this year. It's a joke. Am I the only one that sees this??
