Lamine Yamal has sent out a message to Fermin Lopez after Barcelona confirmed the Spain star has suffered a metatarsal fracture and will now undergo surgery.
The news means that Fermin is set to be sidelined for some time and is expected to miss out on World Cup 2026 with Spain.
Yamal has taken to Instagram with a show of support for his team-mate. The teenager has posted an image of the two celebrating and added the words: “We will do it for you, my warrior.”

The injury comes at a time when Yamal is also sidelined but working hard on his recovery so that he is available in time for the tournament this summer in the USA, Mexico and Canada.
Yamal is expected to be one of a host of Barcelona players named in Luis de la Fuente’s squad when the full roster is announced next Monday.
Spain will then set their sight on the tournament and an opening game against Cape Verde on June 15.
