The Baltimore Ravens continued organized team activities on Wednesday, but franchise quarterback Lamar Jackson was not present during Day 2 of the team's voluntary OTAs. Jackson's absence quickly became a topic of discussion, although the workouts remain voluntary at this stage of the offseason program. Baltimore has routinely allowed veteran players flexibility during OTAs, particularly established stars who have already proven themselves within the organization.

The two-time NFL MVP has traditionally balanced participation during the voluntary portion of offseason activities while still remaining heavily involved once mandatory minicamp and training camp arrive later in the summer.

Jackson did attend Jesse Minter’s first voluntary minicamp earlier this offseason and is expected to be present for the mandatory minicamp. Tyler Huntley, Skylar Thompson, Diego Pavia, and Joe Fagnano. will see increased snaps.

Without Jackson on the field, backup quarterbacks received additional reps as Baltimore continued installing Declan Doyle's offensive concepts ahead of the 2026 season. The Ravens are entering another year with championship expectations after building one of the league's most talented rosters around Jackson.

Baltimore spent the offseason continuing to upgrade the offense while also adding depth defensively through the NFL draft and free agency. The Ravens are also looking to further develop chemistry between Jackson and an offense expected to feature another explosive rushing attack and an upgraded receiving corps.

As OTAs continue, Baltimore will likely monitor attendance and player progression closely before shifting focus toward mandatory minicamp and training camp later this summer.
