Los Angeles Lakers star Luka Doncic dealt with the stomach flu during Game 3 against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday. The former Dallas Mavericks superstar played 40 minutes but didn't look like himself, finishing with 17 points, seven rebounds and eight assists while shooting 6-of-16 from the field, 2-of-8 from 3 and 3-of-4 from the free-throw line.
Lakers head coach JJ Redick told reporters that Doncic was vomiting all day before Game 3. Doncic looked visibly weak and sick during the contest, a game the Lakers lost to go down 2-1 in the best-of-seven series.
Game 4 between the Lakers and Timberwolves is on Sunday. It's a must-win game for Los Angeles for the team to reclaim home-court advantage in the series and it looks like Doncic is feeling much better.
According to Shams Charania of ESPN, Doncic slept in his bed all day on Saturday and is feeling "a lot stronger" for Game 4. This is great news for the Lakers, who are looking to avoid going down 3-1 against the Timberwolves.

Doncic, 26, is averaging 28.3 points, 9.0 rebounds and 6.0 assists in the Lakers-Timberwolves series. The future Hall of Famer is shooting 46.6% from the field, 34.6% from 3 and 91.7% from the foul line.
It will be fascinating to see how Doncic plays in Game 4. The Lakers lost Game 3 by a final score of 116-104.
Doncic only had four points in the fourth quarter of Game 3, while LeBron James did everything he could to lead his team to victory by scoring 11 points in the fourth and 38 points in the game.
