Through the 2024-25 season, the Los Angeles Lakers have had a total of 506 players suit up for them, going back to their days in Minneapolis. Some were forgettable, some were serviceable, some were good and a select few were flat-out legendary.

During the Lakers' 80th season of existence (they were founded back in 1946 as the Detroit Gems in the National Basketball League), LeBron Wire is taking a look at each player who has worn their jersey, whether it has been a purple and gold one or the ones they donned back in the Midwest during their early years.

Jack Haley was a 6-foot-10, 240-pound big man who lacked skill but got by on hustle and enthusiasm. He grew up in Southern California and played three years of college basketball at the University of California, Los Angeles, and afterward, he was taken in the fourth round of the 1987 NBA Draft by the Chicago Bulls.

After playing two seasons each with the Bulls and the New Jersey Nets, Haley came to the Lakers for the 1991-92 season. He appeared in 49 games that year and averaged 1.6 points and 1.9 rebounds in eight minutes a game. He missed all of the following season and left to join the San Antonio Spurs in 1993.

Haley eventually won an NBA championship in 1996 during a second stint with the Bulls, even though he only appeared in one game all year due to injury. He retired following the 1998 campaign with career averages of 3.5 points and 2.7 rebounds in 9.6 minutes per game.
