If the Los Angeles Lakers still want to go after Jonathan Kuminga, there are likely more teams interested now than there were a few weeks ago.

Unfortunately for the Lakers, it doesn't seem like Kuminga is going to end up in Los Angeles for the time being, though as we've seen in the NBA, literally anything is possible at any given moment. The Lakers just unfortunately don't have enough assets to suggest that they're a perfect landing spot.

According to an ESPN insider, there's also a sense that other teams around the league are showing interest in the young man. That includes the Sacramento Kings, though they aren’t interested in moving on from much at the moment.

“The Kings have also maintained interest in unrestricted free agent wing Jonathan Kuminga, but unlike last summer, they have been hesitant to get into sign-and-trade conversations,” Anthony Slater wrote.

“Without such a move with the Atlanta Hawks, they would have only a minimum to offer, so those talks have gone nowhere.”

I'm curious to know what type of team Kuminga would want to be on.

Playing for the Lakers would give him a chance to compete for a championship, doing so with Luka Doncic and some of the other top players on the roster.

However, he'd be more of a role player in Los Angeles.

With Sacramento, he'd be one of the focal points of the offense, something the young man could be interested in at this stage of his career.
