Tennessee women's track and field concluded its 2026 outdoor season by finishing 11th in the NCAA Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon.
The Lady Vols recorded five scoring performances, totaling 23 points and winning two bronze medals. Tennessee finished third in the 400-meter dash and the 4x400-meter relay.
Javonya Valcourt, a senior for the Lady Vols, ended her collegiate career with a third-place finish in the 400-meter dash. She had a time of 50.16 seconds, a career-best mark. Her time marks the best effort in the race in the national championships since 2004. Valcourt's time is also the second best in program history and is also the fastest in-season performance recorded by the Lady Vols over 400 meters.
Tennessee also finished the meet by finishing third in the 4x400-meter relay team of Cydney Wright, EstherJoseph, Maira Scott and Valcourt with a time of 3:23.75, a performance maring the Lady Vols' second top three finish in the event during the past three years. Tennessee had a runner-up performance in 2024.
Tennessee finished fifth in the 4x100-meter relay with a team of Lauren Jarrett, Dana Wilson, Avia Jones and Wright (42.40). Wilson also finished fifth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.09. She also had a career-best time of 11.01 in the semifinals.
Tennessee scored its first points during the national championships on June 11. Hannah Grace finished sixth in the pole vault with a mark of 4.54 meters (14-10.75).
