According to NFL insider Adam Schefter, the Tennessee Titans are set to release star defensive back L'Jarius Sneed on March 13, 2026.
Sneed, who began his professional career as a fourth-round pick of the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2020 NFL Draft, only suited up to play in 12 regular-season games during his two-year tenure with the Titans.
A key member of Kansas City's Super Bowl LVII and LVIII rosters, Sneed was traded to Tennessee in 2024. In exchange for their star defensive back, the Chiefs received a third-round draft selection and a seventh-round pick swap from the Titans.
In his six-year NFL career, Sneed has recorded 10 interceptions, 6.5 sacks, and four forced fumbles.
While it remains unclear if Kansas City will inquire about a reunion with Sneed in free agency, the Chiefs have needs in their secondary after parting with several key defensive backs earlier in March.
Stay tuned to see if Chiefs general manager Brett Veach will move to bring Sneed back to Kansas City.
