Kylian Mbappé did not let Sen. Celeste Amarilla’s racist remarks against him slide following Paraguay’s loss to France. He took to social media to call her out, saying she was undeserving of her position and condemning her harsh comments. While sharing positive words about the Paraguay team, he also criticized her for spreading hatred and portraying the country in a negative light.

Kylian Mbappe called out senator for racist remarks

Madame Celeste Amarilla,

Mbappe took to X (formerly Twitter) to slam the senator of Paraguay, Amarilla, over her racist remarks against him. As per the English translation, he wrote, “Madame Celeste Amarilla, You are a despicable woman and unworthy of your position. You do not represent Paraguay, that country which has sweated passion and honor throughout the competition.”

He further stated that her “recklessness” and “brazen racism” had shifted attention away from the team’s hard work and achievements throughout its World Cup journey. He called her an “incompetent woman” whom he believes has put her own country in a bad light. “I will never allow people like her the freedom to spread their hatred and racism across the world,” he concluded.

This jab comes after Amarilla shared a lengthy post on X aimed at the French captain. She wrote, “That idiot didn’t even learn to write. Instead of drinking mother’s milk, he was sucking on coconuts.” She further called him a “colonized Cameroonian who was desperately trying to pass himself off as French.” She claimed that Paraguay’s players should have slapped him following the match, which led to her country’s elimination from the World Cup.

Additionally, she described Mbappe as ” resentful, arrogant, and ugly.” She penned that Mbappe appeared “nervous” and “scared” throughout the match. Questioning the France team’s abilities and suggesting that its victory was not hard-earned, she added, “They couldn’t score a single goal, and they won by the skin of their teeth.”
