The Chicago Cubs were in MLB action against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Monday evening.
The Cubs managed to come away with a solid 10-5 victory at their home stadium, where their fans made their feelings about Kyle Tucker very clear.
Tucker was traded to the Chicago outfit for Isaac Paredes, Hayden Wesneski, and Cam Smith in December 2024, but his spell was short and has left fans with a bit of a sour taste.
The 29-year-old left the Cubs in January 2026 to sign for the Dodgers, and as expected, he was not exactly welcomed back to Wrigley Field this week.

Kyle Tucker booed by Chicago Cubs fans
Upon entering the field, the commentator for the game said: “Let’s see what kind of hand Kyle Tucker gets here coming back to Wrigley Field”
What followed was a very loud chorus of boos that can easily be heard in the video below:
A number of fans have since taken to the comment section of the video to react to Tucker returning and getting a frosty reception.
One wrote: “Sounds just like it does at Dodger Stadium lately… And well deserved!”
Another stated: “The guy isn’t a gamer. He’s not in it for the love of the game. He’s there to collect a paycheck. It’s brutal watching him play baseball.”
A third claimed: “He didn’t want to be here, number one and number two, he was not a good fit here. He’s not what we’re all about.”
“I wouldn’t boo him. They should applaud him for not resigning and wasting a roster spot,” added another.
But despite not being welcomed back, Tucker’s new team have a PCT of .611 so far this season after winning 69 and losing 44.
The Cubs, meanwhile, have a PCT of .566 after winning 64 and losing 49.
