Kristaps Porzingis will suit up for the Golden State Warriors when they face the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday, March 10. Steve Kerr's team is playing on the second night of a back-to-back after losing to the Utah Jazz on Monday, March 9. Porzingis did not participate in the loss to Utah. Golden State will likely keep him out of at least one game during back-to-back matchups.
Coming into Tuesday's game, Porzingis has played in two of a possible 11 games since arriving in the Bay Area. He's struggled with illness all season. However, as he prepares for his third game with the franchise, the fanbase will be hoping that his health issues are behind him and that he can start finding some rhythm with his new teammates.
The Warriors will likely keep Porzingis on some form of a minutes restriction against Chicago. After all, he needs time to ramp back up to full fitness. As such, Warriors fans will need to remain patient as they wait to see the 2024 NBA champion at his best.
In his first two games for the franchise, Porzingis has averaged 10.5 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 block, shooting 54.5% from two-point range and 25% from deep.
Outside of Porzingis, both Draymond Green and De'Anthony Melton are listed as 'questionable' on the injury report, per ESPN's Anthony Slater. Both veterans will likely be game-time decisions for the Warriors.
